Author Tom Perrotta Visits The New York Public Library to Celebrate 10th Anniversary of Library Way on September 17

The Murray Hill Neighborhood Association and NYPL, Grand Central Partnership commemorate 41st Street library-themed brass plaques with free outdoor event, self-guided tours, and sculptors Greg LeFevre and Jennifer Andrews

WHO: The New York Public Library, Grand Central Partnership and the Murray Hill Neighborhood Association present a free, lunchtime event with author Tom Perrotta commemorating the 10th anniversary of Library Way – the unique promenade on 41st Street featuring literary-themed quotes from luminaries across time such as Thomas Jefferson, Emily Dickinson, and Langston Hughes.

WHAT: The outdoor event, part of the Library’s Books at Noon series, will be held on the Bryant Park plaza in front of the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, near the Library’s fabled lions, Patience and Fortitude. Following the event – the Grand Central Partnership, Murray Hill Neighborhood Association and Library Way sculptors Greg LeFevre and Jennifer Andrews invite the public to take part in a self-guided tour of the 96 custom-made brass plaques.
