Historic Stables in Sniffen Court, a NYC Treasure
2/3/2014 - By Marea Edynak
Where else but Manhattan would stables be worth multiple millions of dollars?
The 10 two-story brick stables were built in 1863-64 by local builder John Sniffen. Now they are some of the most covetable and expensive residences in New York City.
The early Romanesque Revival style buildings face each other in a small close-end mews of of East 36th Street between Lexington and Third avenues in the Murray hill neighborhood of Manhattan.
